Finance Manager - Go To Market

The Finance Manager reports to the VP of Finance and will be responsible for a combination of operational and financial planning and analysis (FP&A) deliverables to support the Career and Institution Sales Forces.

Responsibilities

Operational

  • Work with sales management in reviewing sales proposals to customers.

  • Work with Sales Operations team in analyzing future sales performance.

  • Ensure proper recording of 3 rd party revenue.

  • Design bonus plans and track performance of sales teams.

  • Review contracts for alignment with sales proposals.

  • Ad hoc reporting and analysis projects as assigned.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

  • Assist in the development of the annual budget plans.

  • Monitor the financial performance of the sales teams in comparison to plan/forecast and previous years’ performance.

  • Ensure that the operational and financial needs and concerns of the sales teams are represented.

  • Provide ad hoc analyses to support both current and potential future strategic scenarios and related financial impact to the business. (metrics, financial modeling, etc.).

  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting. MBA preferred.

  • 7-10 Years progressively responsible experience with both operational and FP&A responsibilities.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook. Hyperion and Salesforce.com a plus

  • Previous work within a sales organization a plus.

  • High comfort level with projects dealing with metrics and other data driven analysis for management.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal skills.

  • Experience in matrix organized work environment working with all levels of management.

  • Ability to train/mentor.

  • Some travel required.
